Prayer is a conversation between God and you

"To be with God, there is no need to be continually in church. We may make an oratory of our heart wherein to retire from time to time to converse with Him in meekness, humility, and love. There is not in all the world a kind of life more sweet and delightful than that of a continued conversation with God"

Brother Lawrence

Praise and thanksgiving should be a part of all your prayers to God. When you come with this attitude, you show Him gratitude, and ascribe to Him His divine attributes. God is ever present when we are praying, as a loving heavenly Father, and we can ask Him to grant to us a consciousness of His presence.
The most important prayer is the one our Lord gave us:

Our Father, who art in heaven
Hallowed be thy Name.
Thy kingdom come, Thy will be done
On earth as it is in heaven;
Give us this day our daily bread,
and forgive us our tresspasses,
as we forgive those who tresspass against us;
And lead us not into temptation,
but deliver us from evil,
For thine is the kingdom, and the power,
and the glory forever.
Amen

It is certainly right to petiition God. You can pray any time, no matter what you are doing, and He will listen. What an amazing Father we have in God.

A writing about death

eath is nothing at all..
I have only slipped away into the next room
I am I, and you are you.
Whatever we were to each other, that we still are.

Call me by my old familiar name; speak to me
in the easy way which you always used. Put no
difference in your tone, wear no forced air
of solemnity or sorrow.

Laugh as we always laughed at the little jokes
we enjoyed together. Let my name be ever the
household word that it always was.
Let it be spoken without effect, without
the trace of a shadow on it. Life means all
that it ever meant. It is the same as it ever was;
there is unbroken continuity.

Why should I be out of mind
because I am out of sight?
I am waiting for you, for an interval, somewhere very
near, just round the corner..All is well.

Welcome to

and to the

Forgiving others who have hurt you..how do you do that? Here is a suggestion:

On a piece of paper, write down a list of names that God brings to your mind, that you may have to forgive or not-if it comes to your mind, write it down. If you need to forgive yourself, write "me" at the bottom.
When you forgive yourself, you are accepting a basic truth of knowing Jesus as Savior, that God has already forgiven you.

Then, working each name as long as it takes, forgive him/her for every painful hurt in past. Stay with that one name until you feel done.
If a memory is very painful that comes to mind from God, let this happen.
God wants you to be free-forgiveness is the only way to this freedom. Once you make the choice to forgive, God will heal your hurting emotions.

Pray aloud for every person and memory:
Lord, I now choose to forgive(name the person) for (what they did or did not do), which made me have these feelings(name the painful feelings).

After you are done, then pray something like this:
Lord, I am choosing not to hold resentment. And I thank You for this freedom from any bondage of bitterness. "Revenge is mine, saith the Lord", so I turn all past resentments to you, and ask you to heal my hurtness inside. I now ask You to bless those who have hurt me. In Jesus' name I pray, amen.

Remember, you say "Lord, I choose to forgive", allowing you the hard choice, and also allowing God to help you. Never doubt that He will be with you all through the process.

Praise be to our Lord Jesus, and God the Father
