Welcome to

and to the

Forgiving others who have hurt you..how do you do that? Here is a suggestion:
On a piece of paper, write down a list of names that God brings to your mind, that you may have to forgive or not-if it comes to your mind, write it down. If you need to forgive yourself, write "me" at the bottom.
When you forgive yourself, you are accepting a basic truth of knowing Jesus as Savior, that God has already forgiven you.
Then, working each name as long as it takes, forgive him/her for every painful hurt in past. Stay with that one name until you feel done.
If a memory is very painful that comes to mind from God, let this happen.
God wants you to be free-forgiveness is the only way to this freedom. Once you make the choice to forgive, God will heal your hurting emotions.
Pray aloud for every person and memory:
Lord, I now choose to forgive(name the person) for (what they did or did not do), which made me have these feelings(name the painful feelings).
After you are done, then pray something like this:
Lord, I am choosing not to hold resentment. And I thank You for this freedom from any bondage of bitterness. "Revenge is mine, saith the Lord", so I turn all past resentments to you, and ask you to heal my hurtness inside. I now ask You to bless those who have hurt me. In Jesus' name I pray, amen.
Remember, you say "Lord, I choose to forgive", allowing you the hard choice, and also allowing God to help you. Never doubt that He will be with you all through the process.
Praise be to our Lord Jesus, and God the Father

Hello Barbara, I have enjoyed reading your website, it has been awhile since I dropped in. We are on the road and I have time that I do not get in Myrtle Beach. I enjoyed your truths on forgiveness. You have learned a lot from your experience and study. God is continuing to do a good work in you. God Bless you and continue to make you a blessing to others.
